Welcome to the online home for the Illinois Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (IACME). The Illinois Alliance is a non-profit, professional association dedicated to serving the needs of continuing medical education professionals. Continuing medical education refers to the ongoing education and training provided to healthcare professionals in order for them to both maintain their certification and licensure and improve the quality of care they deliver. 

Our membership is a diverse group of key stakeholders that advance clinical medicine and patient care through a number of organizations - from hospitals and health systems to medical specialty societies and associations to private education providers. 

IACME members find value in networking, sharing challenges and solutions, and building lifelong professional friendships. IACME membership is a great way to get integrally involved in the Illinois medical education community and the benefits of membership are numerous. Become a member now!

IACME's Annual Fall Conference in Joint Sponsorship with ISMS
On Friday, October 2, 2009 at Stonegate Conference Center in Hoffman Estates, the IACME will hold its first Joint-Sponsored Educational Conference with the Illinois State Medical Society.  Please mark your calender for this brand new event, details will be available soon!  We look forward to seeing you there,

IACME's 20th Annual Meeting and Anniversary Celebration
On Friday, June 5, 2009 at Hamburger University and The Hyatt Lodge at McDonald's Campus in Oak Brook, the Illinois Alliance for CME held its 20th Annual Conference and Anniversary celebration. Several committees were formed to address the various aspects of planning this event and the celebration was very successful. We thank all of you for participating in this special occassion.  To view details and photos of this event Click Here.

Each year, IACME membership nominates a member who has made a long-standing contribution to the field of CME for the Thomas G. Pearson, Ed.D. Distinguished Service Award.  In recognitions of IACME's 20th anniversary, this year the IACME selected two recipients for this award.  IACME congratulates Alejandro Aparicio, MD and Sorush Batmangelich, MHPE, EdD, FACME as the 2009 award recipients.
