A newsletter for IACME members

“Education, Collaboration, Fellowship, Networking.”

What is the Stark Law?
Find out at the IACME Fall Educational Meeting taking place Friday, November 19, 2004 at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre in Hoffman Estates. In addition to the Stark Law, which you may have read about in this month’s Medical Meetings Magazine, we’ll discuss the ACCME Standards of Commercial Support, the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award credit system, and more. Registration materials arriving by mail soon!

In addition, the AMA’s 1st Regional Conference on CME is scheduled for the day prior to IACME’s Fall Meeting at the same location. Attend both meetings to get the most current information on all that is happening in CME!

Yahoo! We have a place to chat!
The IACME Communications Committee has created a Yahoo Group at http://groups.yahoo.com/groups/iacme which acts as an online message board where members can post and answer questions that come up in daily work. Posting messages to the board is very easy, and the Communications Committee hopes that IACME members will take advantage of this unique opportunity to share ideas. A few members recently submitted questions to the IACME Board, and we have posted them to the group for comment. Enjoy!

Help Direct the Future of IACME
The IACME board is interested in hearing from you!  Specifically, the board wants to know what members are looking for from IACME in the future. An IACME board task force is reviewing this and seeks member representation from academic and medical centers, specialty societies, and medical education companies. If you have any ideas, suggestions, or comments, please contact Ed Dellert at edellert@chestnet.org by November 1, 2004.
