Objectives:

1. Identify potential pitfalls in joint sponsorship.
2. Create policies and procedures for effective joint sponsorship relationships.
3. Describe the recent changes in the Standards for Commercial Support.
4. Evaluate strategies for implementing the new Standards for Commercial Support requirements.
5. Apply the lifelong learning component of Maintenance of Certification to enhance current CME
programming.
6. Develop useful strategies to assist physicians toward requirements for maintaining their
certification.
7. Design new CME programs to meet the requirements of "performance in practice" according to
Maintenance of Certification specifications.
