TITLE: Accreditation Manager

DEPARTMENT: Education

REPORTS TO: VP, Programs

SUPERVISES: Education Programs Administrator

INDUSTRY & BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Responsibility for maintaining overall compliance with ACCME and ABPS policies and procedures. Coordinates internal review and maintenance schedules including routine analysis of general membership guidelines, educational activities as they relate to ACCME Essentials and Standards; Interfaces with colleagues across related plastic surgery organizations to ensure collaboration on endorsement and sponsorships.

Conducts internal audits of program content, faculty participation and related materials. Collaborates internally on educational efforts relevant to CME, quality improvement projects and assists VP, Programs with standards development; acts as liaison to related education committees, workgroups and task forces. Serves as resident expert on Maintenance of Certification and the appropriate role for the Society to play in supporting the process.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; Masters preferred; Education emphasis in adult , continuing or professional education

Experience: 3-5 years; Medical Society/Association experience preferred

Other: Attends meetings, conferences and seminars as requested; Acts as a representative for the ASPS Education Department as appropriate; Prepares and presents reports to ASPS/PSEF volunteer leadership upon request
